Syracuse lands transfer pledge from former Nebraska DB
Syracuse is working to put together the final pieces of the roster for the 2023 season. On Wednesday, head coach Dino Babers and the program picked up another player via the transfer portal.
The player is Jalil Martin, a defensive back that spent last season at Nebraska before opting to hit the transfer portal. He did not see action as a true freshman with the Huskers before making his move to the Orange.

Coming out of high school, Martin was rated as a 3-star recruit and the No. 34 ATH nationally in the 2022 recruiting class per the 247 Sports Composite. Martin drew interest from a number of programs before selecting Nebraska. He’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds at the safety position.
Martin joins CBs Jaeden Gould and Jayden Bellamy as players in the defensive backfield to transfer to the program this offseason.
