Syracuse RB Sean Tucker busts 51-yard run to open scoring vs. Boston College
Syracuse running back Sean Tucker entered this week as the nation’s leading rusher.
He hasn’t disappointed so far in Week 9, breaking a 51-yard touchdown in the third quarter to give the Orange a lead over Boston College.

This was a clutch run, as the Eagles’ defense held Syracuse scoreless in the first half. The Orange are looking to build on their 41-36 upset victory over Virginia Tech last week.
Tucker is now up to 118 yards on just 13 carries mid-way through the third quarter. He entered today’s game as the only running back in the country with more than 1,000 yards on the season.
Both teams need a win today in order to stay on track for bowl eligibility. Syracuse hasn’t made a bowl game since 2018. BC hasn’t played in a bowl since 2019, but did go 6-5 last season.
