Brian Stevens, a transfer offensive lineman from Dayton, has announced a commitment to play in the ACC.
“I’m hyped to be announcing I am committing to the University of Virginia,” wrote Stevens on Twitter. “The opportunity is indescribable and I can’t wait to get to work.”
Stevens watched practice and saw new Virginia offensive line coach Terry Heffernan in action as Heffernan like Stevens, was a four-year football student athlete at Dayton, according to Wahoos247.
“We’ve got a lot of connection there, too,” Stevens said, per Wahoos247. “I think relationships is a big part, and I think that’s one thing he really hones his message on — because ultimately in practice you want a guy that gets on and do all that.. Coach Heffernan seems like he’s doing a phenomenal job with the short amount of time he’s been there, even [graduate assistant] Maverick Morris, those guys are 2 big studs, they’re bringing a lot of energy and I think they’re doing the things right way too.”
