Kadin Shedrick, Virginia big man, reportedly makes decision on 2023-24 season

Kadin Shedrick was a key defender and Virginia’s leading shot blocker during the 2022-23 season. Unfortunately, it looks like he will be checking out his options via the transfer portal.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Shedrick has opted to enter the transfer portal. The big man had 65 appearances (34 starts) for the Cavs across the past 2 seasons and led Virginia with 1.4 blocks per game this past season.

Shedrick averaged 6.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks while shooting 65% from the field last season. During the NCAA Tournament loss to Furman, the 6-foot-11 Shedrick led the Cavs with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Shedrick was not the only Virginia player to head for the portal on Monday. Freshman forward Isaac Traudt announced his plans and a desire

to transfer closer to home to continue his playing career.
