Reece Beekman announces future plans after a breakout season at Virginia

Reece Beekman has made a decision about his future.

The Virginia guard will be declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft while still maintaining his eligibility at the collegiate level.

Here’s Beekman’s announcement:

Beekman will now go through the pre-draft process and will be able too receive feedback from NBA teams on his draft stock in 2023. As long as he withdraws by the deadline, he would be eligible to return to college basketball.

Beekman has developed into an interesting NBA prospect. He’s a great defender for his position and has improved his 3-point percentage e

very season while at UVA. This past year, he shot 35.8% from long range for the Cavaliers.

On the season, Beekman averaged a career-high 9.5 points and 5.3 assists per game. At 6-foot-3, he projects to be a point guard at the next level.

The deadline for Beekman to withdraw his name from the 2023 NBA Draft and still maintain collegiate eligibility is May 31.
