Virginia lands commitment from WR prospect in class of 2024

Virginia added a major talent to its 2024 recruiting class on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers earned a commitment from 3-star receiver Christian Zachary.

Here’s his announcement:

Zachary’s recruitment moved quickly once Virginia officially offered him a scholarship back in April. He took an official visit to UVA earlier this month and then committed to the program on Tuesday morning.

He chose Virginia over offers from programs like Duke and App State, amongst others.

Zachary is the No. 778 overall player and the No. 98 receiver in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 11 player from the state of South Carolina.

He attends Calhoun County High School in Saint Matthews, South Carolina. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds.

Virginia now has 5 commitments in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Zachary is UVA’s top-ranked commitment. The group is ranked No. 64 in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from his junior season:
