Breny Pry provides several injury updates ahead of Week 4 vs. Marshall
Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry met with media Tuesday afternoon ahead of the Hokies’ Week 4 matchup against Marshall.
Among other things, Pry worked his way through an extensive injury list. Some players will return this week while others are questionable and some are out.
We’ll start with the good news. Pry told reporters that linebacker Alan Tisdale will be back after missing last week with an unspecified injury. He’ll help well in the run game especially. Alongside Tisdale, WRs Jaylin Lane and Ali Jennings could be back in Week 4, though he was more confident about Lane than Jennings.
Pry says WR Jaylin Lane (hamstring) has a much better shot to play this week. Was a game-time scratch last week when things just didn’t feel right after warmups. #Hokies

Linebacker Keonta Jenkins is considered probable to play against Marshall while safety Jalen Stroman is questionable.
Pry calls OLB Keonta Jenkins probable and S Jalen Stroman questionable. Notes that it’s hard to put designations on guys early in the week. #Hokies

Also notably, QB Grant Wells is questionable for Saturday with Kyron Drones listed as the potential backup. Safety Nasir Peoples will be out.

Finally, WR Takye Heath will miss Week 4 after strong progress ahead of last week’s game against Rutgers:
Pry said the #Hokies had freshman WR Takye Heath all ready to play a bigger role last week. He suffered what looked like a wrist/hand injury that’ll keep him out this week, “If not longer,” Pry said.
