Virginia Tech adds commitment from in-state prospect in class of 2024

Virginia Tech added a commitment from a fast-rising in-state prospect on Friday afternoon.

3-star athlete Joshua Clarke announced his commitment to the Hokies. Clark picked Virginia Tech over offers from programs like Wake Forest, Rutgers and Iowa State, amongst others.

Here’s his announcement:

Clarke is from Alexandria, Virginia. He attends Flint Hill School and is listed at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds. Clarke is Virginia Tech’s 1st in-state commitment so far this cycle.

He’s a big addition in the class of 2024 for the Hokies. Clarke currently ranks as the No. 717 overall player and the No. 76 athlete in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 15 player from the state of Virginia.

Virginia Tech has had a great week on the recruiting trail. Earlier this week, the Hokies added commitments from 4-star quarterback Davi Belfort and 3-star EDGE Deric Dandy.

Overall, Virginia Tech’s 2024 recruiting class currently ranks No. 35 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
