Virginia Tech is a 4-point underdog in its bowl game vs. Maryland on Wednesday afternoon, according to DraftKings. The total has been set at 55 points.

The Hokies are missing numerous starters for this game, including quarterback Braxton Burmeister and receiver Tré Turner. Burmeister has entered the transfer portal and Turner is preparing for the NFL draft.

Quarterback Connor Blumrick is expected to get the start vs. Maryland.

Virginia Tech has already had several players depart the program as it makes its head coaching transition from Justin Fuente to Brent Pry.

Meanwhile, Maryland isn’t missing any significant contributors. That’s a big reason why the Terps are comfortable favorites at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday.

If Virginia Tech is able to pull off the upset, it would help create momentum going into Pry’s tenure. It would also mark the Hokies’ first bowl win since the 2016 Belk Bowl.

Kickoff is at 2:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
