Virginia Tech loses commitment from 3-star cornerback
Virginia Tech lost a commitment from 3-star cornerback Misun Kelley on Thursday night.
Kelley had been committed to the Hokies for 1 month. He originally committed to Virginia Tech back on Sept. 6.
Here’s his announcement:
At this time, I have decided to decommit from Virginia Tech and reopen up my recruitment. I am looking forward to seeing my options and putting this into god’s hands. Thank you to the Virginia Tech staff for giving me the opportunity and believing in me first hand.

Kelley has been receiving interest from other top programs, including Clemson. The South Carolina native is the No. 877 overall player in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds.
Virginia Tech still has commitments from 18 prospects in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 43 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Coach Brent Pry has clearly emphasized in-state recruiting in his first full cycle on the job. Virginia Tech has 9 prospects from the state of Virginia so far in the class of 2023.
The Early Signing Period for the class of 2023 is in December.
