Virginia Tech quarterbacks coach Brad Glenn is a candidate for the offensive coordinator job at Cincinnati, according to a report.

BearcatJournal’s Chad Brendel reported Tuesday that Cincinnati is “zeroing in” on Glenn as the top candidate for the role.

Glenn also serves as Virginia Tech’s passing game coordinator. He was hired by head coach Brent Pry last offseason. He was previously the offensive coordinator at Georgia State.

Cincinnati is looking to replace Tom Manning as its offensive coordinator. Manning recently accepted a position with the Indianapolis Colts. The Bearcats also lost another offensive assistant in Gino Guidugli to Notre Dame earlier this offseason.

The passing game was a struggle for the Hokies in 2022. Virginia Tech never found a rhythm through the air with Grant Wells or Jason Brown. The Hokies ranked 12th in the ACC last year with a passer efficiency rating of 116.33.

Virginia Tech will be hoping to take a big step forward in the passing game in 2023.
