Virginia Tech receiving corps make joint decision on 2024 season

Virginia Tech will return four of its top wide receivers in 2024.

The Hokies’ wide receiver quartet of Ali Jennings, Da’Quan Felton, Jaylin Lane and Stephen Gosnell all announced their decision to return to the program on Tuesday night.

Their announcement came in a video narrated by Virginia Tech wide receivers coach Fontel Mines:

Avoiding any transfer decisions or NFL draft declarations from that group of receivers is big news for Virginia Tech. The Hokies will be looking to build upon what was a very productive season for the unit in 2023.

Felton and Lane were Virginia Tech’s leading receivers in 2023 with 667 and 524 yards on the year, respectively. That d

uo also combined for 14 touchdowns. Gosnell was fourth on the team in receiving with 348 yards on 22 receptions.

Jennings missed almost the entirety of the 2023 season, but he’s also a significant part of this receiving corps. Jennings transferred to Virginia Tech last season after back-to-back 900+ yards campaigns at Old Dominion. He will have 1 season of eligibility remaining.

Virginia Tech will face Tulane in the Military Bowl to close out the 2023 season.
