Virginia Tech star WR Tré Turner to miss Boston College game with injury

Virginia Tech receiver Tré Turner is out for the Hokies’ matchup vs. Boston College on Friday night.

Defensive tackle Mario Kendricks and receiver Jaden Payoute will also miss the game.

Turner is coming off arguably the best game of his career. He totaled 187 receiving yards in Virginia Tech’s win over Georgia Tech in Week 9.

So far this season, Turner has 602 yards and 2 touchdowns on 34 catches. He’s averaging 17.7 yards per reception.

Both teams are 4-4 coming into this game and are in desperate need of a win in order to keep hope alive of reaching bowl eligibility.

On the other side, Boston College starting quarterback Phil Jurkovec will be making his first appearance

since suffering a hand injury back in September. He was expected to be one of the ACC’s best quarterbacks this season prior to the injury.

Virginia Tech has won 4 of the last 6 meetings in this series.
