Virginia Tech is evidently in good position to land 3-star cornerback Misun Kelley.

Two different recruiting experts, Evan G. Watkins and Matej Sis, have put in a 247Sports Crystal Ball projection for the Hokies to add Kelley to their 2023 recruiting class.

Kelley is the No. 83 cornerback in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 11 player from the state of South Carolina.

The 3-star cornerback also has offers from programs like Louisville, Coastal Carolina and Navy.

On Monday, Kelley tweeted his official offer letter from Virginia Tech:

Kelley is from DW Daniel High School in Central, South Carolina. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds.

Is Virginia Tech can land Kelley, he would become the 18th commitment in Virginia Tech’s 2023 recruiting class. The Hokies’ group currently ranks No. 36 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

And while Virginia Tech has put an emphasis on in-state recruiting under new coach Brent Pry, it has also continued to recruit the state of South Carolina. Kelley would be the second commit from that state to join the Hokies’ 2023 class.

Here are highlights from Kelley’s junior season:
