Wake Forest is off to a hot start building its 2024 recruiting class. On Thursday, the Demon Deacons picked up their third commitment of the week, giving them 5 pledges in the early stages of the cycle.
Whittman Whaley, a linebacker from Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is the newest Wake Forest commitment. He shared the big news on his Twitter account.
Whaley says he measures 6-2, 205 pounds. He has not yet been evaluated by the major recruiting services. According to 247Sports, Whaley also had scholarship offers from Boston College, Memphis, Liberty and others.
The Demon Deacons added Whaley to the class after picking up a pair of commitments earlier in the week. Rome (Georgia) DL Justin Terrell and 3-star edge defender Camden Hardy
each pledged to Wake Forest on Tuesday.
