Wake Forest took care of business on Saturday afternoon, defeating Boston College 41-10 on the road.

The win means the Demon Deacons have secured the ACC Atlantic title and will face Pitt in the conference championship game next weekend.

Quarterback Sam Hartman was sensational, throwing for 3 touchdowns and rushing for another. Wake Forest’s defense also stood out as they forced Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec into 2 interceptions.

This is Wake Forest’s first appearance in the ACC Championship Game since 2006. The Demon Deacons defeated Georgia Tech in the title game that year, 9-6. Since then, either Clemson, Florida State or Virginia Tech has appeared in every single ACC title game.

With the win, Wake Forest moves to 10-2 on the season. This is the program’s second double digit win campaign in its history. This also comes just one day after coach Dave Clawson agreed to a longterm extension with the team.

Kickoff from Charlotte will be at 8 p.m. ET on Dec. 4.
