Wake Forest is 21-7 this season and has been one of the most consistent ACC teams all year long.

However, the Demon Deacons still find themselves on the NCAA Tournament bubble with just a couple weeks remaining in the regular season.

Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes is hoping to change that in the coming days. He told reporters on Monday afternoon that he hopes to have an NCAA Tournament berth locked up before the start of the ACC Tournament in early March.

“My advice to my team is just to keep winning, and then they can’t say anything,” Forbes said on Monday.

That advice has worked out pretty well so far. The Demon Deacons are 11-6 in ACC play and have three very winnable games left on their schedule: Louisville, Clemson and NC State. All three of those teams are below .500 in conference play.

If Wake Forest enters the ACC Tournament with a 24-7 regular season record, it will no doubt have a spot in the Big Dance. The Demon Deacons are up to No. 32 in the latest KenPom rankings and No. 40 in the NET.

Wake Forest was a No. 9 seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest bracket, but that was before its win over Notre Dame this weekend. The Demon Deacons could be up a seed line or two when Lunardi updates his bracket on Tuesday.

Wake Forest faces Clemson on the road on Wednesday.
