Wake Forest completes series sweep over No. 17 Miami

Wake Forest baseball affirmed its status as a top 5 baseball team in the country with a massive series sweep over No. 17 Miami Sunday. The Demon Deacons downed the Hurricanes 4-1 to improve to 22-3 on the season.

And that last win was not an easy one for Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons trailed 1-0 in the 5th when Pierce Bennett squeaked a ball over the left field fence for a 3-run home run. Wake Forest never looked back and collected the sweep.

In total, Wake Forest recorded 5 hits while its bullpen kept the Hurricanes from scoring more than 1 run on 5 hits as well.

Next up for Wake Forest is a midweek game against High Point before travelling to play Clemson in South Carolina Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
