Wake Forest picks up commitment from Class of 2024 LB from Maryland

Wake Forest continues to build its 2024 recruiting class in the early stages of the cycle. The Demon Deacons landed a new commitment on Saturday, their sixth in the class.

The latest pledge comes from Darius Jones. A linebacker out of the St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, Jones shared the big news on his Twitter account.

Jones is listed at over 6 feet and 207 pounds. On3 rates Jones 3-stars, the No. 21 Maryland product and No. 79 linebacker. Rivals also rated Jones a 3-star prospect, the No. 21 Maryland recruit and No. 25 linebacker in the 2024 recruiting class.

Jones was offered by Wake Forest in December and visited the program last month.
