Wake Forest scores first touchdown of the 2023 ACC season

Wake Forest scored very early into the first quarter against Elon. The Mitch Griffis was off to a fast start on Thursday.

Griffis wasted little time in marching his offense down the field to score the first ACC touchdown of the season.

After a three-and-out by the Elon offense, Griffis scored in seven plays. Griffis threaded a TD pass to receiver Wesley Grimes for an 18-yard score.

Griffis looked solid, as he didn’t miss a pass.

Sam Hartman left the door open for Griffis to take over after transferring to Notre Dame this offseason.

The Demon Deacons are coming into the season after an eight-win year in 2022.

If Griffis can keep this up, fans will welcome him with open arms.
