Wake Forest set to hire new wide receivers coach, per report

Dave Clawson appears to have his new wide receivers coach. Wake Forest is set to hire Ari Confesor, according to ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel.

Confesor, a former All-American wide receiver for Holy Cross, has been on staff at Air Force the past 4 seasons. Confesor was Holy Cross’ passing game coordinator and receivers coach in 2018 before taking the position at Air Force ahead of the 2019 season.

Confesor would succeed long-time assistant Kevin Higgins as wide receivers coach. In late January, Wake Forest announced Higgins was moving into an off-field role in which he will oversee recruiting, personnel and the transfer portal for the Demon Deacons.
