Wake Forest tributes life of former basketball analyst, alumnus Billy Packer

Wake Forest set up a touching tribute to former basketball analyst and author Billy Packer, who attended Wake Forest from 1958-1962.

The Demon Deacons set up a media credential and seat in the media section for Packer, who passed away Thursday night at the age of 82. Packer was the voice of the NCAA Tournament for more than 30 years. Packer received a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Sports Personality, Studio and Sports Analyst in 1993.

Wake Forest is looking to snap a losing streak against NC State in Winston-Salem Saturday afternoon.  The Demon Deacons sit at 14-7 on the season with a 6-4 record in ACC play.

The game is set for 1 p.m. EST.
