Wake Forest’s Tommy Hawke delivers electric inside-the-park home run vs. UNCG

Wake Forest sophomore Tommy Hawke has plenty of speed on the base paths. He put it to good use in an at-bat against UNCG on Tuesday evening.

With Wake Forest up 5-0 in the first inning, Hawke stepped to the plate with 2 runners on base and delivered in a big way.

As you can see below, Hawke lifted a fly ball to the wall that got away from the UNCG outfielder. By the time Hawke was almost back home, the throw sailed over the catcher’s head:

Wake Forest, the No. 6 team in the country, took an 8-0 lead after Hawke’s big hit.

Entering Tuesday’s game, Hawke had played in 3 contests, hitting .333 with 1 double, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.
