Boston College upsets Louisville, gets first ACC win of the 2022 season

Boston College upset Louisville 34-33 at home on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles entered this game as nearly 2-touchdown underdogs, but found a way to win with good defense and a clutch field goal in the 4

th quarter.

Louisville wasn’t able to score in the 4th quarter. The Cardinals’ offense stalled after Malik Cunningham exited the game with an injury. Brock Domann came in and completed just 1 of 7 passes for 19 yards.

Cunningham scored 4 total touchdowns before exiting the game. It was his second straight contest with at least 4 touchdowns.

For Boston College, it got a better —although not perfect — performance f

rom Phil Jurkovec. He completed 18-of-21 passes for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also threw an interception and lost a fumble.

Receiver Zay Flowers was the best player on the field. He caught 5 passes for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Boston College is now 2-3 on the season and still has an outside chance to make a bowl game this season. The Eagles face Clemson in Week 6.
