Florida State defensive lineman Jared Verse is having some fun at Anthony Richardson’s expense.
Earlier in the week, Richardson had this to say about Florida’s matchup with the Noles:
“When we win this one it will definitely build momentum for us,” Richardson said
.
On Saturday afternoon, Verse acknowledged that comment with a tweet:
Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis made a similar tweet on Friday night after the Noles’ 45-38 victory. Travis ran for two touchdowns and threw for another in the win.
FSU ended the season on a five-game winning streak. It w
ill now have an opportunity to earn a 10th win during its bowl game. Florida State has not won 10+ games in a season since 2016.
This was Mike Norvell’s first win over Florida. The Seminoles also defeated Miami this year for the second consecutive season. It’s been a successful third season for Norvell at the helm.
FSU will learn its bowl destination next weekend.
