UNC signee Seth Trimble impresses for Team USA in U18 FIBA event

North Carolina signee Seth Trimble is making an impact in his first showing the U18 Team USA squad.

Trimble and Team USA have been playing in the U18 FIBA Americas Championship this week. The Americans finished off pool play on Wednesday night with a big win over Puerto Rico.

Trimble contributed 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting and showed off some impressive athleticism and decision-making ability.

Here’s a few clips from his performance:

Trimble is slated to come off the bench for the Tar Heels this season. He’s the No. 6 overall point guard in the country for the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

With RJ Davis and Caleb Love set to return, Trimble will be able to learn from those veterans and contribute off the bench when called upon. Based on his performance with Team USA, a lot of his offensive game — specifically his shooting and pull-up ability — should translate to the next level.

Trimble’s future teammate and UNC commit GG Jackson is also on this team. He threw down an impressive windmill dunk

in another pool play game earlier this week.

Team USA will face Mexico in the quarterfinals on Friday.
