Notre Dame announces sell out, broadcast details for Week 0 trip to Ireland

Notre Dame is set to open the 2023 season with a special season opener in Ireland. On Tuesday, the Fighting Irish provided a number of details for the Week 0 matchup against Navy.

According to an official announcement from Notre Dame football, the Aug. 26 matchup in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium is sold out. The game is also set for a 2:30 pm ET start time, putting it as a primetime local kick in Ireland.

The broadcast for Navy vs. Notre Dame will be on NBC.

Notre Dame is looking to improve on a 9-4 record during Marcus Freeman’s first season leading the program. The offseason has provided a bit of give and take for the Irish with the team landing quarterback Sam Hartman via the transfer portal but losing OC Tommy Rees to Alabama.
