Notre Dame guard Dane Goodwin is proving to be one of the nation’s most efficient scorers

Notre Dame guard Dane Goodwin is statistically the most efficient scorer amongst all power conference players so far this season.

Goodwin is 50.8 percent from the floor, 47.4 percent from 3-point range and 91.9 percent from the free throw line while averaging 15 points per game.

According to Notre Dame, he’s the only power conference player in the country to hit each of those benchmarks so far this season.

Goodwin is in his fourth season with the Fighting Irish, and this is his best year yet. He’s averaging career highs across the board as a scorer and is once again contributing over 5 rebounds per contest.

He’s been a big reason why Notre Dame is still in the fight for an NCAA Tournament berth. The Irish have already secured big wins over Kentucky and North Carolina this season, but will need to continue to play well in ACC play over the coming weeks.

KenPom is currently projecting Notre Dame

to finish the regular season with a 19-12 record. The Irish would have a chance to reach 20 wins at the ACC Tournament.

Notre Dame will be in action again on Saturday at Louisville.
