Notre Dame opens as a big betting favorite over Marshall in Week 2

Notre Dame may have lost of the Buckeyes on Saturday, but the immediate future looks much brighter for the Fighting Irish.

 

According to Circa Sports, Notre Dame is an 18-point favorite over Marshall in Week 2.

In the 21-10 loss to Ohio State, eight of Notre Dame’s 10 offensive possessions ended with punts and a ninth in a red zone stop.

After the game, Marcus Freeman defended his run-heavy strategy in the opener vs. Ohio State. Chris Tyree led the team in rushing yards with only 28, while the Irish as a whole ran 30 t

imes for only 76 yards and one touchdown.

Notre Dame will look ahead to hosting the Marshall Thundering Herd for week 2, while the Thundering Herd look for a second win after taking down Norfolk State 55-3 in Week 1.

Notre Dame is 1-0 against the spread this season.

This game will be broadcast on NBC. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
