Notre Dame is once again a heavy favorite.
The Fighting Irish are 24-point favorites over UNLV on the initial betting line, according to Circa Sports. The total has been set at 47.5 points.
Notre Dame was a 16.5-point favorite in its loss to Stanford this weekend. The Irish were also favored by multiple scores against Marshall back in Week 2.
Notre Dame has struggled as the favorite this season. It played well as the underdog at Ohio State and against North Carolina earlier this year. Notre Dame’s only win as the betting favorite came against Cal in Week 3.
Like Stanford, UNLV has struggled mightily against quality opponents this season. The Rebels are coming off a 42-7 home loss to Air Force this weekend. UNLV’s wins this season have come against Idaho State, New Mexico, Utah State, and North Texas.
Notre Dame still has a good chance to reach a bowl game this season
