Syracuse lands tight ends coach from Rutgers, per report

Syracuse has been busy adding assistants to coach Dino Babers’ staff in recent days, and that continued on Monday.

This time, the Orange managed to poach a key assistant from a Big Ten school and fellow northeastern university in Rutgers.

Per Pete Thamel of ESPN, Syracuse is expected to hire former Rutgers assistant Nunzio Campanile as the Orange’s new TE coach:

Campanile has been at Rutgers since 2

018. He served as the Scarlet Knights’ interim coach for part of 2019 and was the team’s interim OC starting in mid-October of this past season.

Now he brings his wealth of experience and knowledge of the New Jersey recruiting scene with him to Syracuse under Dino Babers.
