Wake Forest defeated Florida State 31-21 on Saturday afternoon, keeping its ACC title hopes alive.

Sam Hartman was excellent in this game. He threw for 234 yards and 2 touchdowns, but he was methodical in how he led Wake Forest’s offense.
The Demon Deacons converted an incredible 10-of-18 third down attempts and made all 3 of their 4th down tries. That success on key downs allowed Wake Forest to s
core just enough points to win the game.
Wake’s defense was also solid, limiting Florida State to just 1 touchdown drive in the first half. It also forced the Noles into a pair of field goals in this game — both were missed.
Wake Forest is now in position to win 10+ games for a second consecutive season. It would be the Demon Deacons’ third such campaign in program history.
