Willie Taggart is headed to the NFL, according to a report.

The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday morning that Taggart is expected to become the new running backs coach with the Baltimore Ravens.

Taggart, of course, previously spent time as FSU’s head coach. More recently, he was the head coach of Florida Atlantic but was fired after 3 seasons in charge.

As Pelissero notes, Taggart has a connection with Ravens head coach John Harbaugh. He worked with his brother, Jim Harbaugh, on Stanford’s coaching staff from 2007-09.

Taggart had previously agreed to become an analyst at Colorado. This will be the 1st NFL stint of his coaching career. He’d been a coach in college football dating back to 1999 and a head coach since 2010.

Taggart has an overall record of 71-80 as a college football head coach at Western Kentucky, South Florida, Oregon, Florida State and Florida Atlantic. He went 9-12 with the Noles.
