Florida State and Miami are bitter rivals and are working on putting together the 2024 recruiting class. As in-state rivals, the Seminoles and Hurricanes are regularly competing for commitments from some of the top players in Florida.

On Friday, another Florida prospect updated his recruitment with the two programs still in the mix. Tye Hylton — an offensive tackle out of Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida — released his top 7 list.

There was a heavy Florida vibe to Hylton’s list with Miami and Florida State joined by fellow in-state programs UCF and Florida. Texas A&M, Penn State and Vanderbilt rounded out his list.

Hylton is listed at 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Hylton is the 83rd OT prospect in the country for the class of 2024.

Hylton’s recruitment is bound to take more shape over the course of June. He had an official visit at Penn State last weekend and is slated for official visits at Miami, Florida and Florida State throughout the month per his 247 Sports page.
