Boston College added a key transfer to its roster for the class of 2023 on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles earned a commitment from Western Kentucky transfer running back Kye Robichaux on Sunday afternoon. Robichaux averaged nearly 7 yards per carry for the Hilltoppers in 2022.

Here’s his announcement:

Robichaux rushed for 496 yards and 3 touchdowns during his sophomore campaign in 2022. He also caught 13 passes for 74 yards this season.

Boston College entered the offseason with the goal of upgrading its running back room for next season. However, the Eagles do return their 2 leading rushers from 2022 in Patrick Garwo and Alex Broome. Freshman Cam Barfield is also expected to return next season.

The Eagles will hope to have a more efficient running game next season. They averaged just 2.09 yards per rush in 2022, which ranked last in the ACC.

Boston College now has commitments from 9 transfers in this cycle.
