Boston College QB Phil Jurkovec expected to start vs. Virginia Tech
Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec is expected to make his return on Friday night vs. Virginia Tech.
Jurkovec has been out with a hand injury since early September. He was seen warming up in pre-game and his status has seemingly been confirmed by Virginia Tech associate AD Jason Baum:

Jurkovec was off to an excellent start to his junior season before being sidelined with the injury. In two games this season, he’s completed 19-of-28 passes for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was averaging 11.6 yards per attempt.
He was also productive last season as a sophomore. He threw for 2,558 yards and 17 touchdowns compared to just 5 interceptions.
He re-joins the Eagles’ lineup at a pivotal time. Boston College needs two wins from its final four games in order to reach bowl eligibility. Jeff Hafley’s squad has lost 4 straight ACC games coming into tonight’s contest.
Boston College is trying to secure a 6-win season for the sixth consecutive year. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
