Florida State will host 5-star safety Kamari Wilson this weekend as it faces Miami in Tallahassee.

Wilson announced his intentions to make the trip on Twitter:

Wilson won’t have to leave the state to make this trip. He attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He’s listed at 6-foot, 200 pounds.

He’s ranked as the No. 20 overall player and the No. 1 safety in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Wilson is also ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of Florida.

Wilson is also being recruited heavily by SEC programs like Florida and Georgia. He visited Gainesville and Athens earlier this season, according to 247Sports.

Florida State has continued to recruit well despite having a tough season on the field in 2021. The Seminoles’ 2022 class currently ranks No. 13 nationally and No. 3 in the ACC, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

FSU must win on Saturday vs. Miami in order to keep hope of reaching a bowl game alive. Kick off is at 3:30 p.m. ET.
