Florida State picked a commitment from 3-star defensive lineman Tavion Gadson on Thursday afternoon.

Gadson chose the Noles over offers from programs like Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Here’s his announcement:

Gadson took multiple visits to Tallahassee this summer. He’s the No. 79 defensive line prospect in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

He’s a Georgia native who attends Jenkins High School in Savannah. Gadson is listed at 6-foot-4, 280 pounds.

Florida State is now up 13 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 28 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Noles were ranked No. 32 in the country prior to Gadson’s commitment.

FSU now has 5 commitments from defensive linemen in this class: 4-star Keldric Faulk, 4-star Keith Sampson, 4-star Lamont Green Jr and JUCO transfer Jaden Jones.

Gadson will be able to officially sign with Florida State during the Early Signing Period in December.
