Trends often tell a story of the outcome of games. Is the latest trend surrounding Florida State football one that bodes well in its favor for Saturday’s matchup against No. 14 NC State?

According to ESPN Stats and Info, the Seminoles are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games as an underdog and 3-0 ATS in their last three road games.

Last week, NC State fell on the road to Clemson in a 20-10 loss, knocking the program out of the top 10.

Quarterback Jordan Travis has been the catalyst to FSU’s red-hot 4-1 start in 2022. Last week in the Seminoles’ 31-21 loss to Wake Forest, the junior threw for 281 yards and 3 touchdowns. For the season, Travis has completed 65.9% of his passes for 1,226 and 8 touchdowns against 1 interception.

The Wolfpack was expected to be one of college football’s more dynamic offenses after it was announced that quarterback Devin Leary would return for his senior season. And while NC State remains ranked, its offense has been an issue.  Currently, the Wolfpack ranks sixth among ACC schools in passing (258.1 yards per game) and ninth in scoring (32.8 points per game).

Kickoff Saturday is set for 8:00 p.m. E.T. The Wolfpack are a 3.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel.
