Florida State is set to host 4-star running back target Cedric Baxter Jr. for a second straight game.

Baxter, who is currently committed to Texas, announced plans for an official visit to Tallahassee this weekend. He was an unofficial visitor a couple weeks ago for FSU’s game vs. Clemson.

Here’s his visit announcement:

Baxter was committed to Florida State once upon a time and grew up cheering for the Noles. He attends Edgewater High School in Orlando. Coach Mike Norvell went by to see him last week via helicopter.

If Florida State can flip Baxter, he would immediately become one of the top players in the Noles’ 2023 recruiting class. Baxter ranks as the No. 47 overall player and the No. 4 running back in the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Overall, Florida State has 16 commitments and the No. 16-ranked class in the country.

The Early Signing Period is in December.
