Florida State is still unranked in the AP Top 25 despite a 3-0 start that includes 2 wins over Power 5 teams.

The Seminoles haven’t appeared in the AP Top 25 since the 2018 season. FSU has victories away from home over LSU and Louisville so far this season.

Florida State received votes in the poll, but is effectively ranked No. 27 this week. Only Michigan State, who lost to Washington on Saturday night, received more votes than FSU without making it into the poll.

Overall, 10 teams who already have a loss are ranked ahead of the Seminoles.

Florida State is now 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2015. That was also the last season the Noles won 10+ games in a single campaign.

The Seminoles are hoping to get good injury news this week on a number of key players. Quarterback Jordan Travis, defensive end Jared Verse and left tackle Robert Scott all left the game due to injury and were unable to return.

Other injuries could play a factor this week, too. Linebacker Tatum Bethune briefly left the game with an apparent arm injury, but he was able to make it back into the game. Defensive lineman Fabien Lovett didn’t play in the game, either.

Florida State faces Boston College in Week 4.
