Florida State commit Hykeem Williams took a jab at a former FSU commit during his signing day ceremony on Wednesday.

Williams, the top-ranked prospect in FSU’s 2023 class, took a shot at former FSU commit Travis Hunter. During the Early Signing Period of the 2022 cycle, Hunter — a 5-star DB — spurned the Noles in favor of Deion Sanders and Jackson State.

Williams did not follow that same path. Instead, he signed with the Noles on Wednesday and delivered a pointed message.

“Ain’t no Travis Hunter over here,” Williams said on Instagram live. Here’s video:

Williams chose Florida State over several top programs including Miami and Georgia back in the fall. He’s the No. 27 overall player in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He’s FSU’s lone top-100 commit in this class so far. The Seminoles have put more of their focus on the transfer portal so far this cycle. Florida State already has six additions via the portal.

Florida State will face Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl later this month.
