Georgia Tech landed a commitment from Rabun Gap (Ga.) athlete Trey Horne on Tuesday.

Horne’s verbal pledge comes just days after an official visit to campus — his first of the cycle. He had another visit scheduled to NC State later this month, but seems to have seen all he needs to in his recruitment. It’s the Yellow Jackets for the uber-versatile athlete who reported a dozen Power 5 offers.

A 6-foot-3, 195-pounder, Horne is a multi-sport athlete for his high school and plays both ways for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School on the gridiron. He played quarterback while at Piedmont (S.C.) Wren before transferring to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, where he saw time at wide receiver, running back, and safety.

Most of his damage came as a pass-catcher. As a junior, he brought in 47 balls for 772 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also ran the football 57 times for 532 yards and another 14 touchdowns. On defense, he produced 21 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and a pass breakup.

Horne ranks as the No. 69 athlete in the class and the No. 82 recruit from the state of Georgia, per the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s a 3-star prospect and the No. 674 overall recruit in the class. He’s expected to begin his Georgia Tech career as a wide receiver.

His pledge brings Georgia Tech’s class total to 7 known commitments. You can see Horne’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
