Georgia Tech guard Bubba Parham is set to miss significant time after undergoing meniscus surgery, the Yellow Jackets announced on Friday morning.

Parham was a key piece for a Georgia Tech team that won the ACC Tournament last season. He started 14 games and averaged 6.7 points per contest.

A former VMI transfer, Parham is entering his fifth year of eligibility. He’s a career 35.7 percent 3-point shooter and is a key floor spacer for the Yellow Jackets on offense.

Georgia Tech is looking to replace its two leading scorer’s off of last year’s team in Moses Wright and Jose Alvarado. Parham was expected to pick up some of that slack early on this season.

The Yellow Jackets begin their 2021-22 season on Nov. 9 vs. Miami (Ohio).
