Demie Sumo-Karngbaye will look to continue his college football career elsewhere after 2 seasons at NC State.

The 3rd-year running back has reportedly entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Sumo-Karngbaye is coming off of a season in which he was NC State’s second-leading rusher. In 8 games, Sumo-Karngbaye recorded 55 carries for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns. The 8-game total includes limited playing time against Wake Forest (6 snaps) and Boston College (2 snaps). He missed 4 full games in the 2nd half of the season due to injury.

Sumo-Karngbaye appeared in 6 games on special teams in 2021. He has 2 full remaining seasons of eligibility and has not used a redshirt.

Out of Willingboro (North Carolina), Sumo-Karngbaye was a 3-star recruit. He chose NC State over offers from Buffalo, Temple and Toledo.
