NC State has set a date for its annual spring game.

The 2024 spring showcase will take place on April 6, the program announced on Tuesday. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET and coverage of the game will be carried on the ACC Network.

The Wolfpack went 9-4 in 2023, giving coach Dave Doeren his fourth nine-win season since taking over the program. No other coach in program history has more than two such seasons.

But, on the heels of an 8-5 campaign in 2022, last season was a bit uncomfortable at times. NC State got blown out by Notre Dame and then opened conference play 1-2. The Wolfpack closed the season with five consecutive wins, but a 28-19 loss in the Pop-Tarts Bowl put a damper on things to close out the season.

The 2024 spring game will give fans their first look at what could be one of Doeren’s best teams yet. The Wolfpack scores some significant wins in the transfer portal on the offensive side of the football, adding former Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall and Duke running back Jordan Waters.

In five seasons with the Chanticleers, McCall threw for 10,005 yards and 88 touchdowns against only 14 interceptions. And Waters was Duke’s leading tailback a season ago, rushing for 819 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The transfer class currently ranks 11th in the country. Pair that with what is returning from a season ago and Doeren has to feel good about his team’s prospects entering the new season.
