North Carolina forward Brady Manek was ejected from UNC’s Round of 32 game vs. Baylor on Saturday afternoon.

Manek’s elbow made contact with Baylor forward Jeremy Sochan mid-way through the second half. It was deemed to be a flagrant 2 foul.

North Carolina held a 24-point lead when Manek was ejected, but Baylor immediately went on a 11-0 run to close the gap.

Manek was having one of the best games of his career. He exited with 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He also had 5 rebounds and 2 assists in just 28 minutes.

RJ Davis has also been pivotal in this game. He scored 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting in the first half.

North Carolina is looking for its first Sweet 16 appearance since the 2019 season. The Tar Heels eventually fell to Auburn in the Sweet 16 that season.
