Notre Dame adds commitment from veteran WR who’s dynamic as a kick returner

Notre Dame now have a true threat in the return game after adding Jayden Harrison via the transfer portal.

Harrison spent the last 3 seasons at Marshall, but his college career started at Vanderbilt. After playing in 9 games for the Commodores in 2020, Harris decided to transfer to Marshall. He played in 38 games for the Thundering Herd from 2021-2023 and compiled 774 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.

However, he was a home run threat as a returner, scoring 3 touchdowns with Marshall. Harrison accounted for 1,381 kickoff return yards for the Thundering Herd.

Marcus Freeman has been busy in the transfer portal lately. The Fighting Irish have added transfer commitments from Riley Leonard

, Kris Mitchell, Mitch Jeter, RJ Oben, Beaux Collins, and Jordan Clark. Now, it looks like Notre Dame has found its answer in the return game.

The Fighting Irish faced Oregon State in the Sun Bowl to close out the 2023 campaign. Notre Dame won 40-8 over the Beavers for its 10th win of the year.
