Dabo Swinney names Clemson's starting QB moving forward
Dabo Swinney has named Cade Klubnik as Clemson’s starting quarterback for the rest of the season.
Swinney made that announcement after Klubnik led Clemson to a 39-10 win over North Carolina in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday night.
He also addressed the possibility that DJ Uiagalelei could transfer and noted that he’s set to graduate from Clemson later this month.
Dabo on DJ's future: doesn't mention transferring but says that moving forward Cade will be the starter and DJ will be the backup. "I'm sure there will be conversations … (DJ) graduates in a week."

Klubnik was excellent against the Tar Heels on Saturday night. He completed 20-of-24 passes for 279 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for another score in the win.
He replaced Uiagalelei after he failed to pick up a first down on Clemson’s first two offensive drives of the night. Swinney told reporters that the plan was always for Klubnik to enter the game on Clemson’s third series.
