Isaiah Wong made history this season.

Wong was named a 3rd team All-American by NABC on Wednesday afternoon, making him the 6th Hurricanes player in program history to receive the honor.

Wong is just the 2nd Miami player (Shane Larkin) to earn All-America honors since the program joined the ACC in 2004-05.

Miami’s previous All-Americans are Dick Hickox (1959-60), Rick Barry (1964-65), Don Curnutt (1969-70), Tim James (1998-99) and Larkin (2012-13).

This season, Wong averaged 16.2 points per game while shooting a career-high 45.3% from the field. Wong also added 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest.

Wong was also named ACC Player of the Year for his performance this season. He helped the Canes earn a share of the ACC regular season title.

Wong is the only player from the ACC to make any of the 3 NABC All-America teams. North Carolina’s Armando Bacot was also in contention.

Miami will face Drake in the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 7:25 p.m. ET.
